Problem Note 38736: Import Data task options might not work correctly for Lotus 1-2-3 files in SAS® Enterprise Guide®
For Lotus 1-2-3 files, you cannot change the Type field from Number to String. You also cannot use the option Import the data using SAS/Access Interface to PC Files whenever possible.
There is no circumvention for either problem.
